The Challenge
PlayStation and Firewalk Studios needed a series of character-driven short films to launch Concord. The brief was ambitious: combine the grounded, dialogue-heavy filmmaking of a drama like Succession with a bespoke, 1990s-inspired anime look.
The Challenge
Alastair Reynolds' philosophical sci-fi short story and director Robert Valley’s distinct graphic style combined into a moving cinematic experience.
The goal was to preserve the stark, angular beauty of Valley's static artwork while creating a fluid, emotional journey that traverses the cosmos.
